Day 1, Kashgar to Karakul Lake |
We set out along the Sino - Pakistan Karakorum Highway, on the Pamir plateau (the roof of the world) for your visit to Karakul Lake (3600m above sea level). The lake sits at the feet of the notorious, Muztagh Ata ( 7546m ) and Gongur ( 7719m ) mountains. 'Muztagh Ata' means Father of the Ice Mountain and is one the most beautiful and mysterious mountains in the world. People travel to experience the lives of another culture, which is why we spend the night in the yurt of a local Kyrgyz family and really experience another way of life

Short drive to Idara village where the camel team waits for carrying the luggage to Base camp. The journey is about 4-5 hours.
| Day 3-----day 17 Climbing to the submit |
Base camp is 4400m , a few days are needed for adaptation to the altitude. There are there camps after base camp before reaching submit. The First camp is about 5400m high sea level, it is close to snow. Animals can carry the luggage till camp one. The second camp is located at about 6400m which is already on the snow and quite high altitude. After camp three which is about 6800m, the climbing condition getting more difficult. The submit is 7546m which is the highest point of Muztagh Ata.
