Kashgar's sunday Marker is regarded as the most famous market in Central
Asia . However, there are also othr markets around kashgar that take place
every day of the week. Each one hase its own uniqueness and character. To
understand Uighur Culture and History, we hihgly recemmend you to visit

"Mother is the
market, Father is the market, so let market decide." So say the local
farmers. We have a very rich market Culture in Xinjiang where fair trade is
important. So we go to bazaar to sell and buy what we need. In every
Xinjinag market there is a middle man called the 'salachi' in Uighur. They
are very knowledgeable about local business and help the buyer and seller
reach an agreement following the correct rules, Usually they are respected
and elder members of the community.
There are
Bazaars every day in villages around Kashgar. Evrey bsazaar is famous with
its own name and products. For example near Yarkand is a famous Saturday
bazaar known for its excellent camels
and
donkeys, the prices are cheap with a wide selection. The Thursday bazaar in
Aqqash is famous for its locally produced saline salt. Locals buy huge
'boulders' of salt , sometime weighing up to 20kgs , the salt is high
quality and cheap .
Visiting local markets can give you a unique experience of local life that
still exists in the villages around Kashgar .If you are interested to visit
