My son Andrew and I just finished a wonderful 15day tour of Xinjiang from Urumqi to Kashgar via the Taklimakan Desert, along the way enjoying the wonderful company of our guide Salam and excellent driver Arken, the tour was full of culture, exciting scenery, culinary delights and great friendship, to say what was the major highlights of the tour would be difficult as there were so many wonderful places, camping in the desert was great, walking the Canyon was fantastic, seeing the Pakistan/China border and the surrounding scenery was breathtaking, spending the night at Karakul lake under the hospitality of the Kyrgyz family was just wonderful, not to mention the special time we had in a Tajik's home as they celebrated a wedding. To finish of our tour we ventured out to view Shipton's Arch, this is a site not to be missed. I can assure you all travelling to Xinjiang is safe, enjoyable and a most wonderful place to visit especially with Ali and his wonderful team. Looking forward to seeing more in the future.
Dear Ali My mother and I would like to thank you very much indeed for the most enjoyable and interesting tour we spent with your guide (Abdusalam) last year, Abdusalam were so kind to us that we all felt at home. It was excellent tour in my life. We enjoyed it very much Thank you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dear Ali, dear friends, We thank you so much for oraganizing a marvellous trip to Karakul Lake and Tashkurgan. We wanted to have a good guide and the driver - and we got both: exellent persons, Abdul, the guide, is full of interesting knowledge of everything and the driver could be the most polite in the whole China! We spent memorable days. And Ali, you opened us Kashgar and Xinjiang. Looking forward the next time
Assalamualaikum Ali!
Hey bro....thanx for everything in Kashgar. You and your entourage are wonderful. Well...cant complain when u guys managed to get back my 200 yuan!heheheheh actually that was a test to see how efficient u guys r :P~ . Salam to u and ur staff and ur whole family and may God bless all of u. Kashgar wld not have been the same without u guys.
Cheers!
Traveling to Kashgar with no plans or any idea of what to expect my buddy Zak and I were very fortunate to run into Ali and the great people at his company. Contrary to the ideas that many independent travelers have regarding tour companies, Ali's guides and services actually made the travel through the region more independent.
Abdulsalam was more like an old buddy than a guide and he took us on unforgettable trip around the region. Without question the people of Kashagar and the surrounding areas are some of nicest and most hospitable I have ever encountered.
Even amongst people that treat travelers with particluar kindness, Ali's guides provided unprecedented access to the culture and everyday life of Kashgar. I hope to make it back to Xinjiang and spending more time in the mountains (i could probaly spend a life time in Tashkorgan) and look forward to seeing Ali and Abdulsalam again.
Thanks for a n amazing trip!
Dear Salam,
I could not find where I wrote your address so I could not write. Dorothy was going to look, but I hadn't heard so I wrote to Ali for it. I think I am still in Xinjiang in my thoughts most of the time, remembering what a wonderful time we had. It has been very hard to get back to do any work for Uni. I know you aren't touring at present but knowing you you will still be busy. How is your little business going? i wish Keep the bridge of friendship alive. We believe that happiness in this life comes through family and friends. We feel that you qualify in both categories.also Thank you for being so kind and patient with me.
Thank you again for the wonderful time you gave us and the privilege to know something about you and your religion. I didn't know very much except the basic elements before. if all Muslims were like you people there would never be any trouble.
Keep in touch as one day you are coming to Australia and I am going to show you my country. Lots of hugs
Ali,

I cannot wait to come back again--I will someday when I visit Pakistan and India--it shall be great time to come back in. I hope you are still around because the tour was great and so were you. To all those touring with the company: You will be amazed by their friendliness and hospitality, plus Ali is fun. Violeta~from Michoacan, Mexico.
