Hey Ali,
Thank you very much for organising this tour for us. Omar and Gilil did a great job and confirm all the good things I heard about Uygur people. They were extremely well prepared. They took care of us and went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. Omar speaks great English and he has a no-BS (bullshit) approach to history that I particularly appreciated. Gilil knows the roads, I felt very secure with him behind the wheel.
It was very refreshing to see such candid and "from the heart" service. I think you should be happy of having them as associates. I'll keep in touch and reccomnd your services.
Best regards

Dear Ali,
Many thanks for having helped us organise our trip along the silkroad at such short notice! We had a great time and your guides were generally excellent. Kasim was so enthusiastic and really helped us better understand uigher culture. One of the many highlights was Tashkurgan, the overnight sleeper train, and our Taklamakan desert camel ride.
We had an unforgettable trip and we couldn't have done it without you!
Wishing all of you the very best. Natalie and Ceicy

As a group of 7 we had a wonderful 2-weeks-trip from Dunhuang-Turpan-Urumqi-to Kashgar and back via Jiayuguan and Xining to Lanzhou. At each place we met an excellent English speaking, very knowledgeable and friendly guide. All the drivers were cheerful and safe driving. We learned so much about the history of the places we visited and the culture of the people. Ali had tailored the tour according to our requests and it was all well organized. Ali was specially helpful when some group members needed to leave earlier and made flight arragements in the middle of the night for the next morning. We highly recommend Ali and his company to all our friends and express our thanks to Ali and all his guides and drivers..

My wife and I had a great three days exploring the lake area, Tashgorgan and then on to the Parkistan border. Kasim was an excellent guide, cheerful, informative and especially helpful in all matters pertaining to the trip. Abdul, the driver was equally cheerful and friendly, and a very safe driver. Ali set up a wonderful three days in one of the most unique parts of the world – Kashgar and the surrounding country is a place not be missed – Ali's and his company is very reputable and honest and I recommend him to you.

Ali, though absent due to his mother's health, did set up a tour that we requested, and provided us with a very knowledgeable and friendly guide, Abdul. We managed to see some beautiful scenery, visit different towns and villages, even eat in people's homes-and really get a feeling for Uighur culture. The tours were well organized, and the drivers were careful (something important in China) and also added to the tour with their connections. Abdul was flexible, especially when weather changed our plans on our visit to Shipton's arch. I would recommend both Uighur Tours and Abdul

We had a great 15 days with Ali Tash's Team in Western China. Many thanks for all their patience etc, especially with a vegetarian on board. The organization was good, all meetings at borders or trains or planes worked well. Had some great fun, saw some great sites and sights and had some great meals. Excellent drivers and guides in a difficult political and physical landscape. Good value. Many thanks dino.h86@gmail.com

I want to recommend you for the fantastic tour your company arranged for me for my visit to Kashgar and surrounding area in XinJiang province.
Your recommendations regarding must-see places and sights helped me make the most of my visit. I enjoyed every minute of my visit, with two highlights being a dinner at a local Uigher family’s home, and a night with a Kyrgyz family. From the moment I arrived at the Kashgar airport, throughout my tour, and until I returned to the airport for my departure, my guide and driver were always prompt, well-prepared, professional, and very helpful in answering my many questions about the people and customs of your home province. And although my tour schedule had been planned in advance, when I requested a change in the schedule, my guide and driver were accommodating in making new arrangements.
I hope I will be lucky enough to visit your beautiful and friendly region again someday!

Dear Ali,
We want to write to thank you for the service that you and your staff gave us when we visited Xinjiang. Your operation offers tremendous value for money compared with others. If you ever need any references to that effect for customers, please let us know and we will be happy to help. It greatly enhanced our enjoyment to be taken around so many interesting towns and sites by you and your colleagues who were patient, flexible and accommodating. Because you were able to introduce us in a relaxed way to people in the places we visited we were able to enjoy the visit on a much more personal basis and than we would have been able to do on a standard group tour. It was a wonderful trip which we will remember for a long time.
Kind regards,

I would highly recommend using Uyghur Tour and Travel Service for any exploration of Xinjiang. Ali Tash and his staff are knowledgeable and friendly professionals who work hard to provide the best service and experience to their clients. No request ever went unmet and the information provided during the tour only added that much more understanding to what we were seeing and experiencing. Uyghur culture, tradition and society is truly worth exploring. Because Xinjiang is so diverse in its people and its landscape, it’s unlike any other area of China .

Visiting this area provides a unique contrast to the rest of the country. Our six-day tour took us from the beautiful heights of Karakul Lake , to the bustling and busy markets of Kashgar, to the growing modern city of Urumqi and the quiet desert oasis town of Turpan . Our only regret was that we could not see more. The sheer size of Xinjiang Province , which makes up 1/6th of China , requires at least one week or more to explore. The food, the people, the markets and the scenery made the experience memorable.

I’m Lucia Bini, Italian. I’ve been in Kashgar last November 2008 for few days and I had the opportunity to meet Ali Tash and his Travel Agency. His services are highly recommended. He is a very trustful person and can arrange in few minutes everything from car + driver to a good hotel accommodation and most of everything very competent and reliable English speaking guides. I highly recommend him and his agency and I’m looking forward to be back in Kashgar and enjoy once more the beauty of the city and its people.

One of the best trips of our lives! Dear Ali and all in Uighur Tour and Travel Thank you for arranging this amazing trip for us last year. We felt very well taken care of throughout the trip, from airport pick-up and back. You did a great job in booking all our train tickets and hotel rooms, and Alim showed us around some of the most beautiful landscapes we've ever seen.

We will never forget our day horsebackriding around the light blue Karakul lake, where we did not see a soul for the entire day and rode through untrekked territory in the mountains on our way to a beautiful glacier.. sleeping with local nomads in their yurts and sharing their food, made all the more delicious by the appetite we worked up during the day. We loved walking around bustling day & night Uighur markets in Kashgar and other smaller towns, enjoying the excitement and noise and smells and fresh foods.. Alim showed us the old town in Kasghar, which made us feel like we had traveled back in time a few centuries.. We loved camping in the Taklimakan desert, where we fell asleep after playing card games, running camelback on sand dunes, singing, and counting shooting stars up above.. Our 10-day trip to Xinjiang left an indelible impression on our memories.

Thank you so much Ali for organizing smooth logistics, and Alim for your very nice company!! We can strongly recommend you to all travellers who are curious to visit one of the most beautiful corners of the world..

All the best, Claire & Wendy

My wife and I have traveled widely across China and this was by far the best trip we have had. We were very fortunate to have found Uighur Tour & Travel who understood exactly what we wanted and then delivered much more than we could have expected. We had asked for a car and driver to take us along the Karakoram Highway to see high altitude deserts, oasis towns, snow capped mountains, pristine lakes, glaciers that fed streams which in turn merged into fast flowing rivers. We had asked for a guide who could introduce us to the different ethnic groups in the area and explain their customs, history and aspirations. On our road trip from Kashgar to Tashkorgan, we had the opportunity to see and do all this and more. The highlights for us were the people we met along the way, like the young Kyrgyz couple who prepared simple home-cooked meals for us in their stone hut or being welcomed into the home of Abdul Mohammad where we listened to Tajik songs and danced the eagle dance along with him, his father, uncle and son. We highly recommend Ali Hubardy Tash and his company for showing us this unique part of the world and for their knowledge, organizational skill, honesty and friendship that made this journey such a special and memorable experience.

We could not be more thrilled with our recent trip to the Kashgar area! We searched many sites for tours that fit our desired trip length, timeframe and itinerary and could find nothing that met our needs. We sent our dream trip requirements to Ali Tash at www.uighurtour.com and within 4 days, we were on a plane from Shanghai to Kashgar ready to get really intimate with this amazing culture. Without even a weeks notice, Ali pulled together a perfectly orchestrated trip that covered everything we wanted to do at a great price.
The tour company could not have been more efficient, responsive and flexible with the needs of five travelers (2 adults and 3 boys.) Our tour guide, Abdul, generously and energetically shared his culture with us and with patience and humor, answered our millions of questions. His English was excellent and was able to teach us about his religion, his culture and the History of the Silk Road (when he did not know about a topic, he would research it that night and answer our questions in the morning!!) He also taught us how to make a fire in the desert, to wrestle - Uighur style and make the best tea in Kashgar! We could not begin to rank the experiences we had -- just to name a few - hiking, horse-riding and drinking yak milk tea in a yurt with a local family at Karakul Lake; riding camels into the Taklamakan desert and camping there after Abdul prepared a delicious meal as the sun set, the kids wrestling with the Abdul and the camel men, watching our kids run their camels through the dunes; visiting the livestock market and Abdul arranging to have the kids drive a donkey cart around the market, navigating through Sunday Market, the many backstreets of the Old City (including playing with kids, watching craftspeople work and visiting a family).
The trip ended with a lovely meal at the home of a local Uighur family. Even though the language, culture and land were totally different than anything else we have seen in China, we really felt like we were being taken care of like family.
We would HIGHLY recommend Ali to plan every detail of your tour and if you are lucky enough to have Abdul as your tour guide, just be prepared to relax, soak in everything knowing that your every need will be met with conscientiousness, sensitivity and humor.

We felt we could totally trust Ali Tash and his guides… so we decided to book a tour with him. As he and his colleagues are from the area and speak Uighur, it also made sense to book a tour with him. Travelling south to stay overnight in the desert and ride camels was magic. Mehmet was a really polite and totally safe driver, sticking to the speed limits and stopping when we asked him too. He had a great CD by a local Uighur band which had us bopping along in the back of the car.

Allah Barde took us to some great places on the way out to the desert and gave us really helpful information about the everyday things we saw and experienced. His desert cooking was top notch as were the restaurants he took us to en route. Great guy who really looked after us! Thanks Allah Barde! The “Cameleers” were fantastic - kept smiling and laughing all the way out to the desert. We felt very safe with them even when they gave us the reins. They know the lay of the land so no chance of getting lost. All round great experience, great service, great time from start to end. In our opinion, “Go with the man with the Tash!”

I would like to express my deepest thanks for your expertise and assistance in organising my recent expedition to Shipton's Arch. Traveling to the Arch had long been an aspiration, and the excellent service you team provided made the occasion both outstanding and memorable, allowing me to experience the area, and become the first family member to visit the Arch since my grandfather. The day was wonderful, and I must commend the excellent service provide your staff, especially the knowledge, enthusiasm and courtesy showed by my guide, Abdul. In organising the trip, I was impressed by the depth of your knowledge and understanding of the local area, in which your experience as a guide and tour co-ordinator was evident. I will certainly be in touch when I return to Kashgar, and will pass on my recommendation.

Dear uighur Travel,

This is a special commendation letter for Abdusalam (salamr), tour guide in the city of kashgar on our stay from 5/20 to 5/22 ; We truly enjoyed our stay in each of China's cities in xinjiang that we visited and we also enjoyed each one of our Tour Guides very much as they were very polite, professional and knowledgeable about their cities history, historic sites and present,. We want to extend a little more to a very special Tour Guide named Abdusalam (Salam), from our arrival to kashgar, he made it him highest priority to make sure that we were properly accommodated and properly rested for our tour he even went as far as wanting to check our hotel room to make sure that we got the right accommodations, But we felt it was no necessary and him care felt very reassuring to us as travelers, Never had a tour guide taken the interest in making sure that we got the right accommodations in our past travels and this is a very first important step as you know.

I celebrated my 38th birthday in China, in the city of kashgar, Elaine and I could not have picked a more interesting, beautiful country or city for this to happen. Elaine needed help in setting up a little birthday surprise for me while attending a dinner/show on our first day in kashgar, This is the moment that Abdusalam (Salam) went out of him way to make it very special for me, while waiting for the dinner/Show to begin; he went out to purchase a birthday cake and a little music box with candles. he also requested the dinner/show venue to play the traditional Birthday song for me. As you can see, this was a very special moment for me that could have only happened with the help form Abdusalam. I truly believe that he is an asset to your travelers and a little diamond on the rough.

If I owned a travel agency, I would recommend there to all my clients knowing that I have placed their happiness and interest in traveling in good hands, he is extremely knowledgeable about kashgar history and very efficient at explaining it, he was always kind, with a great personality and interest in getting to know here travelers as much as possible before our departure. It was truly a pleasure to see the city of kashgar, meet a wonderful Tour Guide and visit its sites. Please extend this letter to all in connection with Abdusalam as I will do a follow up on it at a later date.

Best Regards Frank Morrissey Elaine Morrissey

We love looking back at the pictures we took on the beautiful trip you helped us organise. It truly was a trip of a lifetime, and we are so grateful to you for this. You not only helped us choose the best options, within our time and money limitations, but you truely , naturally opened doors into the reality of people's lives, in a way we never could have neither by ourselves, nor with a regular tour... I try to pass on infos about you ,to the friends I know who may want to take a trip to Xin Jiang, and can confidently recommend your team. Hopefully some of them will come to you some day.

My son Andrew and I just finished a wonderful 15day tour of Xinjiang from Urumqi to Kashgar via the Taklimakan Desert, along the way enjoying the wonderful company of our guide Salam and excellent driver Arken, the tour was full of culture, exciting scenery, culinary delights and great friendship, to say what was the major highlights of the tour would be difficult as there were so many wonderful places, camping in the desert was great, walking the Canyon was fantastic, seeing the Pakistan/China border and the surrounding scenery was breathtaking, spending the night at Karakul lake under the hospitality of the Kyrgyz family was just wonderful, not to mention the special time we had in a Tajik's home as they celebrated a wedding. To finish of our tour we ventured out to view Shipton's Arch, this is a site not to be missed. I can assure you all travelling to Xinjiang is safe, enjoyable and a most wonderful place to visit especially with Ali and his wonderful team. Looking forward to seeing more in the future.

Traveling to Kashgar with no plans or any idea of what to expect my buddy Zak and I were very fortunate to run into Ali and the great people at his company. Contrary to the ideas that many independent travelers have regarding tour companies, Ali's guides and services actually made the travel through the region more independent.
Abdulsalam was more like an old buddy than a guide and he took us on unforgettable trip around the region. Without question the people of Kashagar and the surrounding areas are some of nicest and most hospitable I have ever encountered.
Even amongst people that treat travelers with particluar kindness, Ali's guides provided unprecedented access to the culture and everyday life of Kashgar. I hope to make it back to Xinjiang and spending more time in the mountains (i could probaly spend a life time in Tashkorgan) and look forward to seeing Ali and Abdulsalam again.
Thanks for a n amazing trip!

Dear Salam,
I could not find where I wrote your address so I could not write. Dorothy was going to look, but I hadn't heard so I wrote to Ali for it. I think I am still in Xinjiang in my thoughts most of the time, remembering what a wonderful time we had. It has been very hard to get back to do any work for Uni. I know you aren't touring at present but knowing you you will still be busy. How is your little business going? i wish Keep the bridge of friendship alive. We believe that happiness in this life comes through family and friends. We feel that you qualify in both categories.also Thank you for being so kind and patient with me.
Thank you again for the wonderful time you gave us and the privilege to know something about you and your religion. I didn't know very much except the basic elements before. if all Muslims were like you people there would never be any trouble.
Keep in touch as one day you are coming to Australia and I am going to show you my country. Lots of hugs
