Radio Current Affairs
December 2008
Ali Tash was employed as a fixer and researcher by Daniel Tetlow between July
and August 2008, as part of BBC¡¯s alternative Olympic coverage. This involved
producing feature pieces and reporting live on a journey from the far western
border of China in Xinjiang across to Lanzhou, Chengdu, down to Kunming and back
up to Beijing.
Mr. Tash was highly knowledgeable about the area, understanding the
sensitivities of reporting in Xinjiang with excellent contacts with the
authorities and with travel and tourism representatives across the province. He
was hugely generous with his time and resources and I would be happy to
recommend him highly for future employment.
Please don¡¯t hesitate to be in touch for any more details
